So, I have mentioned that we bought this older house. It truly needs a lot of work. But, in some ways it is ever so much more simply because it is old.
Our house has character.
It’s just waiting to be discovered.
For instance this wall:
(This is our dining room — and this is how it looked when we bought it; walls and ceiling — we haven’t done any remodeling on this wall.)
Umm, I mean, till this past weekend.
I spent an entire day taking care of finding and cleaning the stairway from the top. Jay came in the evening and in 20 minutes put this mega whole in the wall. The kids give him all the credit for “finding” it. And that’s even after the little two kept talking to me while I was working, wondering if I had found any treasure yet. (I found an old photo, but the kids were NOT impressed.) Go figure.
The kids / cats / dogs. . .everyone thinks this is the greatest toy ever invented! I’m telling you we may not have to do Christmas presents!
Although, I did ask Jay, as my birthday is coming up, for him to “finish” this as a birthday / Christmas present for me.

It could have been worse! The kids could’ve BLAMED you instead!
I’m interested in the old photo. Very cool discovery.
