Day 136 — Oct. 4

Our internet has been spotty since last week.  The same time my basement was flooding, for the second time, a wire came loose from our neighbor’s electrical transformer.

Loose, but not flying free.

Which means the fire department was out, as well as the electrical company and no one did anything but look at it for the moment.  As it wasn’t “flying free” our neighbors were told to stay out of their yard (for safety), and that the electric company would come back at another time to re-attach it.

The electric company came the next day to fix the wire.

Anyway, that wire was completely hanging on telephone cables.  Our friend’s phone and internet have been dead ever since, and our internet has been spotty.

Go figure.

The phone company is supposed to come out to fix it on Wed.

I’m not holding my breath.

So, today was co-op, and it went well. . .There was a moment of panic as one of the first period teacher’s didn’t show up and no-one knew where she was.  I’ve heard two stories:  she either made a wrong turn (she’s still new to the area so that is understandable) or her basement was flooding.  Could be a combination. . .who knows.  I didn’t get but a minute to speak with her.

The little guy’s art class is doing this very cool looking project!  I’m excited to see how it comes out.

After co-op it was the dash home to eat a quick bite before running off to the grocery store.  Notice a change?  It’s been at least 3 weeks of having friends over for a luncheon after co-op but not this week.  That’s because this week is eaten up by appointments for my family, so we can’t do much fun stuff. . .

Or can we?

For “home” school we just did Bible today.
