Day 157 — Oct. 25

Co-op day.

The kids in my co-op class totally loved the activity we did today.  Can’t say that many weeks.  (Although, they generally like the activity.)  What is interesting to me is that we have reading time in my class, and in a class of homeschooled kids there aren’t a lot that like to be read too.

Find that interesting.

Have also discovered that what I consider “standard” little people reading. . .is completely foreign to most of these kids.

Like, Pooh, and Brer Rabbit, and Peter Rabbit.  Wonder what they are read?

After co-op our friends came over for a high-class meal of take-out pizza.  😀

We were able to spend some good time with them before they had to leave for their last soccer game of the season.  Then, we went over to another friend’s house to visit with them and another co-op mom.

Weather is beautiful!

I am with you on the non-readers – What is that about? I think the home schoolers around here may be a little bit too “activity rich” to have time to generate a basic cultural literacy… strange but true!!!
