    Christine,

I found you on the Lightning Lit loop and just wanted to say “thanks” for the great schedules! I haven’t used LL yet but plan to and will appreciate using your 8th grade schedule. Looking forward to seeing your Runkle’s Geography, too.

    Blessings,

My daughter will be starting 1st grade next year and I am planning on using SOTW. On your schedule, it shows that you use volumes 1 &2 in the first year. Do I need to buy both?

  3. Sandra says:

Thank you, Christine, for all your hard work in creating these schedules and then for making them available to other homeschoolers. I found you through the WTM forum, and I’ve saved your LL7, General Science, and Runkle Geography schedules. Thanks!!!

  4. Rebecca says:

Thank you for sharing these schedules. You’ve sure made my life easier!

    🙂

  5. Meljoy (WTM) says:

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! From someone who is NOT a natural at scheduling and planing like you- but can see the benefit of it! Thanks for all the help and encouragement. I feel like I can do this.

  6. Wow! You are organized. Thanks so much for sharing your schedule and helping figure things out on the WTM boards 😉

    Blessings,

  7. Tani from TN says:

Thank you soooo much for the schedules. You have made my life so much better as I am not great at the schedule thing;o)

  8. Greta says:

    Christine,
I’m wondering what books you plan to use in your World History for the highschool level schedule? When will your older son(s) begin World History?

    Thanks!
    Greta:)

      Greta,

You know, I’m honestly unsure how to respond to this! Currently my eldest is using Western Civilizations by Spielvogel. My second child wants to re-do world history on a 4-year cycle for high school (he’s currently in 8th grade and doing an American History survey). I’m undecided if I should use West. Civ. as a spine for him.

  9. Emily says:

Thanks SO much! I was looking everywhere for a Chemistry schedule for the 2nd edition and I couldn’t find one! You just made my life so much easier.

Now, if you could just do one for the Notgrass histories, we’d be set! Especially one that uses the alternate literature suggestions 🙂 haha

    Again, thanks!!!

  10. Micki says:

I am looking over the schedule for Rod & Staff 7. You make mention of a Composition Grade Sheet to be stapled to the front of the students work. Is this something I can find in the book?

    Thank you!

    • corefoundations says:

I created a grading rubric for the English compositions and then just printed out enough for each kid. Then, they would attach it to their work and I would grade it. It helped them see what they were being graded on, and it just eased that job a bit for me.

  11. Tammy says:

I was wondering when you will be scheduling the 9th and 10th grade Rod and Staff as I have a freshman this year. Thank you so much for those you have done.

  12. Sandy says:

    Christine,

These schedules are so helpful! Can you tell me if there is a trick to printing them? When I try to print them out weeks are skipped and the schedule is incomplete. I’d love to be able to print the full schedules and keep them in my planner. Thanks so much!

    Blessings,
    Sandy

  13. Elizabeth says:

I am a schedule person just like you. Thank you so much for doing all of this hard work and being generous enough to share it with us. I have a quick question concerning the Lightning Lit 7 schedule. Your schedule is only 21 weeks while Lightning Literature has it scheduled over the course of 36 weeks. Did you work at an accelerated pace or is there an error on the schedule for this level? I see that the LL 8 schedule is 35 weeks long.

  14. Fanny says:

Thanks so much for these schedules. You are a true blessing! I wish I could find everything I use here. But I know that is impossible. But you had 2 things that I really can use and they are awesome! Thanks so much again.

  15. Betsy says:

Thanks! I just printed out the Runkle schedule!!

  16. Pat Gardner says:

Thank you so much for providing these schedules. I am using the Rod & Staff, Saxon, and Apologia schedules. They are so incredibly helpful and well done!

I have a question: The Rod & Staff grammar composition assignment notes makes reference to “a composition grade sheet” to be attached to their composition. What is this? DO you have some type of grading sheet or rubric for compositions ?

  17. Octavia says:

Thanks so much for posting the SOTW-UILHE_KFHE chart. I’ve currently typing up plans for Middle Ages next year and this is super helpful. I was flipping back and forth between books while typing, now you’ve done all the legwork and shared too! 🙂 Awesome!

  18. Nancy says:

Thank you so much for posting these! They are so detailed and organized!! Can you tell me – do you assign any homework from the book or do you just use worksheets? THank yoU!

  19. Anonymous says:

Praise the Lord for the way that He has made you!!!! Truly, you are made fearfully and wonderfully! Thanks for your contribution. It is an answer to prayer. May the Lord Jesus richly bless you!

  20. Wow this is amazing! Thank you so much for making this available to others!

  21. Monica & Mike Withers says:

Thank you for sharing so generously. God bless you and your family. This is most helpful.

  22. Danielle says:

I am curious – do you do 2 years of World followed by 2 years of American and alternate? I don’t really want to wait til High School to get all the American in but I’m not sure how to schedule both.

    • corefoundations says:

That’s really a hard question to answer! With my older two, I did 1 year of American (through the Civil War), and 5 years of world before highschool. Then 2 years of each (Am. and world) in high school. With my younger kids we are in our second year of American history in 3rd grade. . .

  23. Tammy says:

Are you still going to do the American History for elementary?

  24. Thank you so much for these schedules! We are using the 4th grade Rod and Staff schedule! 🙂 I was wondering if you could share your “composition grade sheet” rubrics? I am struggling with how to grade my son’s work and what to tell him to expect. 🙂

    • corefoundations says:

Glad to help. Sending you the form.

      • Cindy says:

I also am struggling on grading my daughter’s compositions. I’ve been searching online for a rubric that will work, but I’m a little overwhelmed with all that’s out there. Would you mind sharing what you’ve used? We’re doing Rod and Staff 5th grade English, Following the Plan.
        Thanks for all you’ve done!

  25. Janet says:

I am loving these schedules…I am so glad I found you. Do you know if or when you will be getting the World History Level 2 (upper elementary) will be done? I am using your General Science for next year and we are also doing World History.

    • corefoundations says:

I may be working on WH Level 2 this summer. We kind of got lost in American History and are taking more time than I had planned on.

  26. Sommer says:

Do you have your Elementary American History schedule done yet? I would love to see it!

    • corefoundations says:

I don’t. Life got really busy that year and we kind of just flew by the seat of our pants. . . .(It wasn’t pretty.)

  27. Leah says:

Thanks so much for these wonderful schedules…looking at the Runkle Geography for next year…I see reference to quizzes …silly question is there a test book that can be purchased for those or did you just create from the material? Again, thanks so much!

  28. Ania says:

Hello! I was wondering if lesson plans could be made for history, lot, grammar and spelling for Abeka 11th grade please! First year homeschooling and I’m struggling very badly with lesson planning!

    • corefoundations says:

      Ania,

I do not use Abeka, so you will not find Abeka schedules on here unless they are given to me.

      Best of luck to you.

  29. April Walker says:

I cannot find a copy of the writing rubric mentioned in the Rod and Staff lesson plans. Would you consider emailing it to me please? Your schedules are extremely helpful, and I am so grateful for the work you are graciously sharing!

  30. Deborah Logan says:

Is the writing rubric the same for Rod and Staff English 4 & 5? I’d love to have a copy if possible. Thank you! Your lesson plans have saved me!

  31. Deborah Logan says:

Would it be possible for you to email a copy of it? I would be very thankful. 🙂

    • corefoundations says:

      Deborah,

I had received so many request for this file, that I put it up on my blog under the English & History schedule page. It is entitled, “Rod & Staff Writing Evaluations”.

  32. […] that I can use? What about free notebooking pages, printables or lapbooks? Has a fellow blogger created a schedule for a particular curriculum that is on my list? Are there any free curriculum sites that will fit […]

  33. Erin says:

I was wondering if you are still planning on posting an American History for Elementary ages?

  34. Blanca says:

You are an angel sent from heaven ha ha… thank you my dear!
